Imamiya Shrine
今宮神社
A charming shrine in northern Kyoto famous for its "yasurai matsuri" (April festival to ward off disease) and the legendary aburimochi (charcoal-grilled rice cake) shops flanking its approach. Known as the "Tamanoyu Shrine" after a commoner woman who married a shogun after praying here.
