Go-o Shrine
護王神社
Known as the "Boar Shrine" (Inoshishi Jinja) for its wild boar guardian statues instead of the typical lion-dogs (komainu). Dedicated to Wake no Kiyomaro who was saved by 300 boars in 769 AD. Popular for leg/foot health prayers due to Kiyomaro's leg injury legend. Near Imperial Palace.
